Some of my favourite things are in my kitchen cupboards. Coffee cups, serving platters, tea pots and dinner sets. They all have beautiful patterns that in some way reflect my taste. Have you thought about looking to your crockery for scrapbooking inspiration?
This serving platter is one of my favourites and it gets brought out at Christmas and filled with cakes or sweets. The three circular sections got me thinking about minibooks or accordion albums, the swirl got me thinking about lovely spirals and I even thought about windmills. In the end I was inspired to draw a windmill shape on some red vinyl. I then machine stitched it to a piece of canvas to create a wall hanging.
So your challenge is to be inspired by some crockery. If my plate inspires you use that but if you have something in your cupboard that you love, use that. Post a picture of your object with your entry in the gallery by midnight Thursday 27th August.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
